Ocasio-Cortez Endorses Alex Morse Over Powerful Incumbent Congressman

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has supported Alex Morse’s attempt to unseat Richard Neal, who is the most powerful member of the House Ways and Means Committee.

Richard Neal has chaired the committee since 1989. The claimant’s campaign was stricken with unconfirmed sexual harassment complaints. However, Morse is about to win the general election. Morse challenged Neal, claiming that the House Ways and Means Committee’s chairman has neglected the district’s needs.

In 2018, Ocasio-Cortez unseated a member of the U.S. House, Joseph Crowley, and received a victory in the general election. Recently, Alex Morse has had to handle sexual misconduct accusations, which the College Democrats of Massachusetts along with campus chapters made.

Morse was accused of meeting students and establishing romantic and sexual relationships with them when working as a part-time lecturer at UMass Amherst.

A young mayor confirmed that he did meet students but only on dating apps.  None of those students had taken his classes. Moreover, Morse asserted the relationships were absolutely consensual.
