Three Producers Leave Ellen Show Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Some big transformations are coming to The Ellen DeGeneres Show due to accusations of toxic work atmosphere, including sexual harassment and racially insensitive comments.

Three senior executive managers have left the popular TV show, a representative for Warner Bros announced in the recent statement.  It is not clear whether they were sacked or it was their own decision.

Ellen DeGeneres show at the center of the scandal

Ellen’s show has been harshly criticized since July when several ex-staffers reported that they had suffered from racial discrimination and sexual harassment at work. The accusations weren’t about DeGeneres herself, but former employees laid most of the blame on three of her senior producers. According to the multiple accounts of the former and current staffers, they groped colleagues, asked them for sexual favors, and generally fostered a toxic workplace.

Despite the struggles, Ellen DeGeneres is confident that the show will be coming back ‘strong’ for its next season. The host apologized once again to her staff, adding that she would try to change.
